walk along, sing a tune

This piece was created while I was quarantined during 2020 as part of an art project that paired artists with people who wanted to receive mail. An envelope was sent to me, and I created a piece to fit perfectly inside, then sent it off to some anonymous stranger. I hope they love it like I do! It depicts a traveler, experiencing a fantasy world where they get to explore and frolic. I had lots of fun with the fantastical scale and surreal elements. I used a range of micron sizes in brown ink with a yellow wash and orange colored pencil.
